abacas software package provides Algorithm Based Automatic Contiguation of Assembled Sequences, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install abacas
abacas is installed in your system.
Make ensure the abacas package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep abacas *
You will get with abacas package name, version, architecture and description in a table
